Girl Dad

<p class=ql-align-justify>No father-daughter relationship is exactly alike. What is universal however is that the father-daughter relationship is a special one. Fathers are their daughters' first example of what to expect in their interactions with the other male figures in their lives and with their words and actions they impart significant lessons to their daughters. Likewise daughters have much to teach their fathers.</p><p class=ql-align-justify><em>Girl Dad: Voices Lessons and Reflections from Black Men on Positive Parenting </em>is an exhibit of the beautiful journey that it is to father daughters however that looks. In <em>Girl Dad</em> Ashanti Foster and eleven black fathers share their stories of the joys challenges and lessons from their father-daughter relationships. Giving black fathers and daughters alike opportunities to reflect on their dynamics <em>Girl Dad</em> illustrates the transformative power of being a Girl Dad and the critical role fathers play in forming strong smart beautiful black girls and women.</p><p><br></p>
