Girl Writes (Rights)

Girl Writes (Rights) is a poignant tribute to the emergence of a young feminist's perspective. Shade Hansen expresses her voice through the art of poetry and visuals of dance in tableaux as she challenges gender roles and stereotypes.Author Shade Hansen is a passionate young woman with an extensive dance and musical theatre background. She has performed in the Mirvish Musical Theatre Intensive at the Living Arts Centre with Trever Tordjman of Family Channel's The Next Step with the Sean Boutilier Academy of Dance in a number of dance workshops at the Karen Kain School of the Arts including the Canadian Contemporary Dance Theatre and with TDSB Creates 2018 at the National Ballet School of Canada.
