Read this book if you seek a genuine answer to the following questions:

1. Can anyone really perform actions without any desire for fruits since there is a definite motivation behind every action?

2. If everything is predetermined according to past Karma what is the relevance of free will and human efforts in life?

3. Is this exhortation in Gita for performance of Karma restricted only to Vedic Rituals as envisaged by some of our great masters on the subject?

Gita deals with the science of life. Any science has its own scientific vocabulary. Unless one is reasonably trained in the subject concerned those scientific terms would mean something else for the ordinary guys leading to a defective understanding of reality. It is the case with Gita as well and that is why I prefer to call it a dangerous book for the uninitiated. For those who do not know the basic concepts of Vedanta the contents of the Gita would remain either too confusing or often misleading. This is the context in which the Lord had to caution us all about the minimum requirements that are necessary to learn Gita as contained in the concluding chapter of this great work. Exactly why I have added a lengthy chapter on Vedanta by way of introduction in this book.
