When the Nash family moves from New York City to the small Atlanta suburb of Deerfield thirteen-year-old Sharonda jumps at the chance to play competitive soccer. But the girls on Deerfield Dynamite have been close friends for a long time and not everyone is happy about someone new joining the team. </p><P>Three players wonder whether Ronnie has the right stuff for the Dynamite: Thirteen-year-old Angie the group's self-proclaimed leader; Thirteen-year-old Kesha the team's speedy striker; and Twelve-year-old Molly a girl who'll do just about anything to stay friends with the group.</p><P>Life gets complicated when one teammate discovers a devastating secret about another.
