Goddaughter Blues

<p>Working as an independent White private investigator was not exactly a dream job in our post-famine society. If not for my contacts in the Concave I might have given up and gone into the street cleaning business on my hands and knees. </p><p></p><p>It took some hard work to build those contacts and a reputation for solving Concave-based kidnappings one far better than any of the big real-world agencies could claim. </p><p></p><p>That is why Beth's mother Dana came to me with a claim her daughter had been kidnapped. I figured it was just another runaway after their bi-nightly argument. They had been doing that since Beth's father one of my military family had died. </p><p></p><p>At times I had trouble knowing if becoming Beth's godfather had been a blessing or a curse. Luckily I loved Beth. </p><p></p><p>Because this time having Beth as my goddaughter leaned way past being a curse. </p><p></p><p>Books By C.T.
