Ben McLeod is at his first detachment as a probationary constable when he and his RCMP field training officer Sue Archer discover the body of a brutally murdered transvestite. It becomes evident that the murder is related to the ongoing importation of narcotics and commercial crime investigations and to an undercover operation.
