Book of Job as it appears in the Hebrew and Christian bibles isthe canonically authorized text; appearing originally in Hebrewfollowed by Greek Aramaic Coptic and English versions. There hasnever been widespread agreement as to what is the message of theBook of Job nor even agreement as to what is the central questionof the book.. Subsequent emendations and redactions have resultedin a puzzlement of interpretations. It is agreed by many reviewersthat these alterations did not come from the hand of the originalauthor and that he had a different intent and conclusion than thatimposed by the canonical text.
