<p>Gold has held man's attention as far back as history can recall. Starting with ancient idols and symbols right up to today's financial institutions gold has been the most sought after precious metal pursued by man. People leave home family job and future to look for it. Success is astounding but often elusive. While a few come back rich and famous most come back if they do at all broken and penniless.</p><p>The California Gold Rush saw three hundred thousand mostly men migrate to California. One of the biggest immigrations in American history. Then the Klondike Gold Rush saw another one hundred thousand mostly men head for Alaska to the Klondike. Only an estimated thirty thousand made it all the way to the Klondike fields.</p><p>Follow along now as the lure of gold pulls away then brings together an unlikely mix of men and women. Not all sought or found gold but gold drove their destiny. Not all found fame and fortune some did some lost it again along the way. When gold is the common denominator people interact in special or different ways.</p>
