Unlike her own family they read stories to her and take her on picnics. They are kind and loving and are always there for her. Since her parents are coming to take her back home she runs away again. Along the way she meets a lady wearing a big hat who tries to get her to go to the city to work in a candy store. The ending is a happy one full of surprises. Thanks to Baby Bear and some other events she arrives back home to a new kind of happy life never to run away again.
