She considers the complex relationship between sin and human nature as a fundamental source of humankinds distrust of any bethlehemic messianism. She conceptualizes the issue of faith within the perspective of the modern skeptical temperament leaving the reader with the belief in a rather humane but mistrustful metaphysical justice.
