When the Reverend Sally is asked by the bishop to become the resident vicar at St Catherines mother and baby home she resists at first arranging only to visit. However she soon finds herself agreeing to move in practising her skills as a midwife as well as offering spiritual help and guidance to the girls and staff alike.
