I grew up in San Francisco during the 1940s and 1950s. I loved to draw write stories and the museums and libraries were a walking distance or just a bus ride away. I had fun entering different contests for creative children and the prizes and recognition were just a bonus. As an adult I have mostly lived in Californias Central Valley. There I became a mother teacher grandmother artist and a writer with lots of places to make new friends.
