Gravity Model for South Asian Trade Integration

This book primarily concentrates on the South Asian Intra-regional trade. The nature of prevailing south Asian trade agreements is introduced in the first chapter giving special attention to the South Asian Free Trade Area Agreement. It explains the prevailing barriers for Intra-regional trade in the region in the next chapter. Then it moves to the third chapter providing the current incentives for the region''s trade. The fourth chapter explains the Gravity Model and augments it according to the region''s characteristics. Finally it explains the possible econometric tools that can be used when analyzing the augmented gravity models described in the previous chapter.
