Green Fabrication of Metal-Oxide Nanocomposites for Photocatalysis

About The Book

This book presents a comprehensive study on the green biogenic synthesis and multifunctional applications of metal-based nanomaterials emphasizing environmentally benign approaches for nanoparticle and nanocomposite fabrication. Using Ziziphus jujuba leaf extract as a natural reducing and stabilizing agent silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) and gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) were synthesized rapidly at room temperature and thoroughly characterized using FT-IR XRD UV-Vis TEM and other advanced techniques. The study highlights the efficiency of plant phytochemicals in directing nanoparticle formation and confirms their crystalline features surface plasmon resonance behavior nanoscale morphologies and catalytic functionalities. AgNPs displayed excellent catalytic activity in the reduction of 4-nitrophenol and methylene blue along with pronounced antibacterial efficacy against E. coli demonstrating strong environmental and biomedical potential.
