Canadian high school hockey phenom Aury Treadway is destined for future glory in the North American Hockey Alliance but he can't seem to make the team when it comes to love. The shy self-conscious boy finds his soul mate in the form of Jennifer Carey who transforms Aury socially. But his dreams quickly crash one by one as Jennifer is forced to move away and a devastating knee injury sends Aury into a downward spiral against a backdrop of alcohol.
