Lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.) is one of the most widely grown and consumed vegetables in Brazil standing out for its nutritional value and economic importance. This study analyzed the agroecological cultivation of lettuce with drip irrigation with a view to the rational use of water and sustainable practices. The experiment was carried out at the Popular Restaurant in Juazeiro do Norte with beds irrigated and fertilized with organic matter. The system proved to be efficient economical and environmentally viable reducing waste and improving productivity. It is concluded that agroecological drip cultivation favors sustainability food quality and the strengthening of family farming.
