A global biodiversity hotspot it contains many species found nowhere else on the planet including giant kelp forests diverse seaweeds sponges crustaceans molluscs and over 700 species of fish.</span></p><p><br></p><p><span style=background-color: rgba(249 249 249 1); color: rgba(0 0 0 1)>Climate change human activity and a lack of awareness of the area is contributing to damage affecting the overall health of the reef.
