Growth of TMDC Crystals for Photovoltaics

This book represents the second part of the book titled Existing Information on MX2 Single Crystals. It describes the selection of a particular crystal growth technique among all the possible and available techniques to grow desired crystals. Various crystals growth techniques along with the key parameters of each that influence the quality of grown crystals are described. It has been found that in order to grow good quality single crystals of MX2 the Vapour Transport technique is a suitable method as it leads to very high purity material growth in a close environment. A detailed discussion about DVT technique and its controlling parameters ampoule preparation etc. is presented.
