Guangdong Greenway Culture/??????

<p>It is with this green hope that Guangdong has started the construction of greenways. The goal of this stage is to build a greenway network in the Pearl River Delta. Comrade Wang Yang member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee attaches great importance to and personally leads the construction of greenways demanding that the Pearl River Delta greenway network be built into a landmark project in the province and even the whole country. After two years of effort we have now achieved initial scale. As an important measure for Guangdong Province to implement the Scientific Outlook on Development the construction of the Pearl River Delta Greenway Network is a concrete action to implement the regional integration strategy and an important lever to promote the integrated development of the Pearl River Delta. The efforts and preliminary results of greenway construction have connected the parks and green spaces of most cities in the Pearl River Delta with external nature reserves and scenic spots forming a green open space network where ecological protection and leisure activities complement each other. While protecting the ecological environment and alleviating the urban heat island effect greenways provide residents with comfortable outdoor activity spaces greatly promoting the construction of livable urban and rural areas. They play an important role in promoting regional ecological environment protection achieving integrated life and leisure promoting livable urban and rural construction and enhancing sustainable development capabilities.
