Guardians of the Frontier

Guardians of the The Cross Family Chronicle, 1836-1903 is the story of three Isaac - 1815-1859, Abraham - 1839-1903, and William - 1856-1891. An early death robs Isaac from fulfilling his dreams of adventure and exploration. Abraham retraces his uncle’s footsteps in search of his son, William First Boy. Together, Abraham and William establish the Cross Ranch along the Wintering River, Dakota Territory. It’s a story of—love and marriage—joy and sadness—life and death; a story about the men and women whose love of the frontier earned them the right to be called “Guardians of the Frontier.”
