Originally published in 1922 this book was created to provide an accessible guide to the plant varieties found in Cambridge University Botanic Garden. It was written by Humphrey Gilbert-Carter (18841969) the first academic Director of the Garden who held the position from 1919 to 1951. Numerous species are listed with information on their key characteristics and native habitats. A variety of illustrative figures a glossary and a short bibliography are also included.
