In cases involving calcified canals there is a heightened risk of perforation and other endodontic complications3. While magnifying glasses microscopes and CBCT scans can offer improved guidance interpreting CBCT images and simultaneously performing manual treatment can be challenging particularly for inexperienced operators. Guided endodontics (GE) utilizing computer technology for treatment planning has emerged as a solution to these challenges. By creating a specific pathway for root canal access and instrumentation GE helps mitigate the risk of perforations and other iatrogenic issues.
