The Gulmohar tree bloomed with its bright red flowers and it decorated the Gupta’s lawn adding colour and energy to the otherwise neglected ground. The huge tree had also inspired Guptaji’s father to name the house ‘Gulmohar”  he had admired the red flowers that decorated the tree when he had come to buy the plot of land many years back.A lot had changed in the old rustic Versova village since his father had passed away. Now it was nearly the end of the 80’s era The village was no longer a village it had transformed into a successful neighbourhood with big buildings in place of the small cottages.
