Gulmohar and Other Short Stories is an anthology of Memoirs Vignettes and Short Stories for readers of all ages. The narratives included in the book are an amalgam of autobiographical and fictional elements (autofiction) and touch upon the subtle aspects of human life. The Memoirs included in this collection hold both thin sublime pains and thick unwithering delectations. They reflect upon cultural beliefs traditions religious values conflicts social orders connectedness and dependences. The Vignettes draw upon invigorating experiences sharp imagery and aim to strike at the subtilty and sublimity of existence through personalized and fictionalized lens. The Short Stories included in the work touch upon the broader social issues using personal experiences as a starting point for larger observations. Prelim to each section are proses based on unique foreign words which have no concurring words in English. They remind us about the gaps which exit in the anglophone world and serve as a gateway to forge a deeper understanding.
