HAITIAN CHRISTIANITY

Throughout history Christianity has constantly demonized religions to which it was hostile even if these religions were not necessarily hostile to Christianity. This is particularly true of the religions of Antiquity Hinduism and even Islam (declared a polytheistic religion for many centuries) and always for the same reason: the inability of certain Christian theologians to understand the internal logic of other religions and to consider the value and validity of other modes of relating to God than the one at work in their understanding of their own religion.
