Halfway Across the Street

<p><strong>Maya Clark always does what her family wants. </strong></p><p></p><p>And what her family wants is to turn the old schoolhouse across the street into a restaurant so that they can keep their small town motel from going under. But before they can buy the building it's snatched up by handsome newcomer Tanner Sullivan. So Maya sets out to convince him to give the old schoolhouse back. </p><p></p><p>But Tanner has his own plans. After a childhood of pain and fear he's ready to turn the building into a coffee shop that's cozy and safe. If he can do that (and also get Maya to stop hating him) then maybe he can find the sense of belonging he's been searching for. </p><p></p><p>The slow burn of want Maya has started to feel for Tanner is getting stronger by the day. But if she gives in it will force her to choose between her family's livelihood and her own desires. </p>
