<i>Welcome to Shady Woods where the paranormal hide in plain sight...</i><br><br>After a little mishap in the very human city of Chicago Grace James is forced to move back to her parents' hometown in the middle of nowhere-and right at the start of high school too.<br><br>The very secret and very small town of Shady Woods allows werewolves vampires sirens and dendrites like Grace to live some semblance of a normal life and although it's stifling to a city girl Grace will at least learn how to control her abilities which sort of makes her feel like a superhero.<br><br>As she grapples with accepting her new home and its sometimes vomit-inducing quirks buildings start to burn. She thought her parents overacted when they moved out of Chicago but was her slip more dangerous than she realized-and did that danger follow her to Shady? Or are there more sinister secrets to discover in the paranormal Northwoods?
