HANGING ON A DREAM

A young flourishing high school basketball star from Mississippi Trent Baker finds himself in the midst of betrayal racism and deceit after the untimely suicide of his abusive prostitute mother Lanette. Trent is forced to move to Alabama with his biological father of whom he believed was dead according to his mother. After adapting to his new home Trent has no problem finding his way back to the top of his game and is considered best in the state. But after hanging with the wrong crowd his success ends in expulsion. His third and final move to the small town of Taylorville with his beloved grandmother Mary Jean is his last chance at success in basketball. While facing the many challenges of racism and jealousy Trent's vitality leads his team in an undefeated season. Yet it seems when success has arrived in Trent's life tragedy never fails to follow.
