Hannah KaReese and her best friend Tara DeMoss are just two typical small-town girls. They're preparing to take a ski trip to Colorado when tragedy strikes. KaReese's father has died in a car accident creating a chain of events that will send these two friends on the adventure of a lifetime. </p><p> Tara's father convinces KaReese's mother Abbey to take a job with his company a business that has recently obtained a government grant to study various cultures of the world. Abbey agrees to the assignment and soon KaReese and Tara find themselves on the small Polynesian island of Moorea in the Pacific Ocean. But all is not well in paradise.
