As a survivor of unspeakable brutality the last thing Shailene Campbell wants is more violence but being uniquely qualified to protect others from the horror she endured makes the choice unavoidable. But if she has to hunt down predatory psychopaths then she's also going after the God who created the bloody world she inhabits. Silas Mac MacIlwane was a manager teacher and perpetrator of violence until his wife and son were viciously killed in a home invasion. Now he helps catch bad guys by profiling them for the FBI. When he picks up a trail of corpses left by a vigilante however he realizes he'd rather be sending murderers to hell than to court. When Campbell's and MacIlwane's paths cross no one walks away unscathed.
