HAS HUMANITY LOST THE PLOT? A brown man's perspective

First there was nothingness. Then the universe formed 14 billion years ago the Earth solidified 4.5 billion years ago life emerged soon after and evolved and man diverged about five million years ago. Or God created the universe and everything in it over six days and declared the seventh day holy. But nobody knows how much of this is true anyway! What we know with a bit more certainty is that agriculture developed 10000 years ago then civilization 5000 years ago. But what we can be sure of is that White Man colonized the world in the last 500+ years to ?civilize the savages.? He claims it was because of biogeographic factors 10000 years ago rather than presumed racial superiority or cultural differences. I say bullshit! I went through much iteration during the writing of this book trying to be politically correct but the Opium Wars in China clinched it for me apart from the fact that the Indian Kohinoor diamond still sits in Jewel House at the Tower of London. Britain waged war on China to legalize opium trade so they could reduce their trade deficit! Chinese historians call it the ?century of humiliation? and British Prime Minister Gladstone denounced it as ?a war more unjust in its origin more calculated in its progress to cover this country with permanent disgrace.? But the damage had been done. A once proud nation was brought to its knees just like India had been. The Canadian Reconciliation report states?[We must] restore what must be restored repair what must be repaired and return what must be returned [to the Aboriginals]? but that is simply empty rhetoric now. A way of life had been destroyed the remaining ?assimilated? or in the process a story that repeats on all continents around the world and even on the smaller islands. White Man scr**** the world in the past 500 years without moral compunction because he developed guns germs and steel (Mr. Jared Diamond got that right!). Humanity?s glorious past is covered in recent disgrace and we are now left with guilt and remorse (the price we pay for civilization Freud) but also dehumanization and disenchantment (the result of capitalism Weber). Has humanity lost the plot? I say it has! We gave up peacefulness amongst ourselves harmony with our environment and became restless competitive and destructive. Now we have chaos.
