He Comes Up Smiling

Jerry Martin quits his dull job as a bank clerk where his main job is to take care of the canary belonging to an officer of the bank. When the canary flies off so does Jerry. He ends up falling in with a band of hobos taking on the guise of Bachelor the king of the market and finds himself pursued by dangerous men who are after the real Bachelor. A movie based on the book was mad and starred Douglas Fairbanks as Jerry.
