In the Economic Survey for the year 2022 Indias public expenditure on healthcare was 2.1% of GDP in the year 2021-22 up from 1.8% in the year 2020-21 and 1.3% in 2019-20 while Japan Canada and France spend about 10% of their GDP on public healthcare. Despite these figures Indias health facilities are extremely worrying compared to other countries.
