Health and Safety at Work and Professional Environments in Mali

In Mali the Centre National d'Appareillage Orthopédique du Mali (CNAOM) provides specialized orthopedic and rehabilitation services. It also specializes in the design and promotion of appliances and technical aids for disabled people.Objective: To assess physical and chemical hazards in orthopedic appliance manufacturing workshops.Methodology: This was a descriptive cross-sectional study running from August 1 to August 31 2020. All orthoprosthetists working in production workshops were included. Technical visits to the premises and a multi-part questionnaire (socio-demographic aspects working conditions etc.) were carried out. Data were collected in production areas for environmental metrology (noise ambient temperature dust light).
