This book provides new dimensions to the knowledge and understanding of the health professionals’ attitudes towards family witnessing resuscitation (FWR). The findings of this book show that health professionals do not usually allow FWR. In contrast family members stated that they wanted to be reassured and informed the condition of their loved ones. This book is unique because both groups of family members after successful and failed CPR were interviewed. To my knowledge no other books have been done to examine the influence of culture and religion on individuals’ attitudes toward FWR. This is a unique book in terms of including different perspectives from multi-disciplinary health professionals from three different health sectors. The findings of this book have a number of important implications for potentially allowing FWR in future.
