About The Book

About the Book:As the name suggests, this collection of poetry comes straight from the author’s heart. Written over a wide span of time, they capture every hue and colour of life. Readers will personally relate and find reflections of their own lives in the broad range of topics covered. Some of these poems may set you thinking, some might take you back in time, some may part your lips in smile, while others may simply leave you amused. The language though simple and colloquial rouses empathy and contemplation and reaches the reader’s heart. The collection also has a wider audience appeal with poems both in English and Hindi.About the Author:Ashok Mimani was born on 30th August 1955, in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra. He is a Chemical Engineer from A C College of Technology, Chennai. Though originally from Calcutta (now Kolkata), he moved to Madras (now Chennai) as a little boy in 1963.He enjoys travelling and savours the uniqueness of each place and country. He loves to indulge in newer and exciting pursuits and has tried his hand at Paragliding, Hang gliding, Hot air balloon, Bungee jumping as well as Sky diving. His quick wit and sense of humour rarely leave his side. Add to it his affable nature which truly makes him a people's person. He dipped his pen in poetry in the 1970s but then let it pass. However, after a long sabbath, his interest in writing revived around ten years back. Since then, he has been writing regularly, both in Hindi and English, with delight and insight. All receipts from the sale of this book will be donated to Friends of Tribals Society, a Voluntary organisation running free primary schools in tribal areas, which is very close to the Author's heart.
