Hearts of Gold chronicles the adventures of Veronica Biddle and introduces you to her sisters Lauren and Jane. When the Biddle sisters decide to move to Crawford Texas they are looking for a quiet life in small town America. Instead they find their house a wreck are bilked out of thousands by a seedy realtor and Veronica is arrested. Veronica soon discovers that her life in Crawford was going to be anything but quiet. Hearts of Gold is not your typical romance novel in which a man and woman meet fall in love and live happily ever after. It like life is much more complex. There is sexual tension a battle of wills between Veronica and Sheriff Clay a villain waiting to pounce a life and death struggle a smattering of fantasy a tragedy and more than a bit of humor. But most of all it is a complex love story about a woman and the emotions that color her life.
