Held Hostage in the Bahamas is about one-woman struggle to get a green card in order to reside legally in the United State. After having lived in the United State for 26 years of her life. She must now return to her country of birth to receive that sought after green card. Things take an unexpected turn for the worse when she arrives in the Bahamas; Her privilege to travel back to the United State was denied by Homeland Security. Her attempts to break through all the red tape. As she struggles with the separation from a loving husband and three children were insurmountable. She endures the shame of having to depend on her family for support for more than ten months. and finding herself disconnected from her church life. She takes her anger and sadness and misfortune and turns them into triumphs as she moves beyond her situation to get to know her family and the home she had been running away from for so long. She gains a deeper understanding of the verse in Hebrew 13: 5b that says. I will never leave you nor forsake you. Making her aware of how much God is in control of her life no matter what befalls her.
