Taking into account that the Helicobacter pylori bacterium continues to be an important factor in serious gastric affections since it affects more than half of the world''s population it would be ideal if over the years plasma serological or histological markers could be identified to help prevent the development of gastric cancer due to Helicobacter pylori infection or at least to detect it at a pathologically reversible stage.
