Cervical cancer is caused by sexually transmitted human papillomavirus (HPV) which is the most common viral infection of the reproductive tract approximately 50000 cases of cervical cancer was caused by HPV each year in Africa. This is the commonest cause of death among women in developing countries effort to prevent the disease using newer approaches and HPV vaccination need to be explored. Cancer is associated with profuse bleeding which effects the haematological and haemoistatic parameters of the individuals. Cancer when detected early is associated with very good survival rate most Africans present with advanced and often untreatable disease with very poor survival.
