Working at a busy magazine in modern day London would be perfect for many young men unfortunately for Charlie Simpson he is not one of them. His days are mundane and his existence is somewhat forced by the need to pay ever increasing bills and a hefty student loan. He misses home he misses his friends and most importantly he misses feeling like he matters. All of that changes however when he discovers a picture of him and a girl he met fleetingly years ago. That night the girl becomes more than just a picture and enters his reality taking his life off the path of the dull and into a realm of violence deceit murder and sex; all in the name of a crush on someone who might not even exist. It's a troublesome way to start a relationship and it leads to an even more troublesome future.
