Heraldry of Armenian Lands within the Russian Empire

Heraldry consists of two manifestations: first the theoretical component of heraldry and afterwards its artistic design. The national character (necessarily) has to be expressed in some way on the state coat of arms. This important factor if not completely at least in general was taken into account by some creators of coats of arms members of the Heraldic Collegium of the Russian Empire and later by the Coat of Arms Department of the Heraldry Department when developing coats of arms for the Armenian lands putting into it their own visions and ideas on the further development of Armenia and the Russian Empire. The book is written on the basis of archival funds open sources and resources heraldry works of the last decades. It is intended for high school and college students as well as for all those interested in heraldry and the history of Armenia and Russia.
