Herbal Liver Tonic for Growth & Biochemical Composition of Mullet Fish

About The Book

The rapid increase in human population has enhanced the need for dietary protein. An adequate supply of fish is of paramount importance as a source of cheap proteinaceous food. However due to over exploitation many of the natural aquatic resources are presently on the verge of depletion. Hence aquaculture seems to be the only way to increase fish production. Therefore the present study was undertaken with the following objectives: to investigate role of herbal liver tonic ‘Livol’ on growth and survival of M. cephalus fry; to ascertain effect of herbal liver tonic ‘Livol’ on digestibility and biochemical composition of M. cephalus fry; to analyze the proximate composition of diets at beginning and ends of the experiments.
