How to better the state of the human condition is a perennial question that has been puzzling shamans gurus artists intellectuals educators psychologists theologians philosophers and scientists since the ancient times. Everyone has a different perspective on life and on our society. Yet finding ‘the truth’ about each perspective and its value is problematic. As coauthors B. Maria Kumar (India) and R. Michael Fisher (Canada) have always wanted to learn more about and focus on the motivational essence of human existence from different perspectives. Although many approaches and answers which the giants of various disciplines had previously put forth were enlightening Kumar and Fisher felt that there could still be a creative new branch of thought –a variant existential philosophical model which would perhaps throw fresh light from a different angle. Fear-fearlessness turned up in their enquiries as especially interesting. Because the element of fear-fearlessness is like the elephant in the room. Despite its huge size none pays much heed to it. It is in this context that the coauthors have endeavoured to elucidate their findings and observations and brought out this book on the issues and solutions connected with the problems surrounding human existence and coexistence from the fear-fearlessness lens.
