Hidden Doors

When in the deep well of darkness your mind splits to survive. The brain is a fantastic thing. It controls everything that we do say think and even remember. Some people can remember every detail of their life while others seem to forget most of it. Their memories tucked behind the hidden doors in their mind. Some so precious that to remember them would cause us to waste away with longing. Some were so tragic and terrifying that remembering them would cause you to go insane. The mind's only choice is to lock them out to protect us from what lies behind them so that we can smile laugh and love those around us.
