High Risk Pregnancy in a Rural Area

God in the form of a mother created us all and pregnancy is the phase when the divine intervention takes place. WHO states that every pregnancy is at risk but in a resource limited setting it becomes very essential to identify the high risk pregnancies by the assessment of specified risk factors and then provide them the necessary special care for a fruitful outcome. We have conducted this study in a rural area of western India and expect it to be extremely useful in studying the diverse risk factors prevalent in the rural areas and how the early assessment and appropriate interventions can help in reaching our goal of a healthy mother and a healthy baby.
