Hiraeth [hir??TH] is a Welsh word that has no direct English translation. Hiraeth is a homesickness and deep yearning for places and feelings from your past that you can't return to or even those places and feelings you've never been to or experienced. Hiraeth can also mean nostalgia for your past self the people who are long gone or the emotions you used to feel.
