History of Khazar - Jews

From VIIIth to Xth century an empire known as the Khazarian Kogonate dominated the eastern edge of Europe. At the height of its power it played an important role in the fate of Europe in the middle ages. Khazarian armies stopped the Arabian invasion during the earliest and most destructive part of Arabian conquests of Eastern Europe. An important historical topic is the conversion of Khazars who are not ethnically Jewish from paganism to Judaism.
