His father Marion Francis Doris was born in Kentucky where he spent all Of his life. He was a farmer and died when James was about two years old. Mr. Marion Francis Doris had married Sarah E. Morgan a na tive Of Kentucky by whom he had one child. After his death Mrs. Doris married another Kentucky gentleman William Price.
