About The Book

On April 13 2013 two teams separated by less than eight miles in southern Connecticut played before a packed house in Pittsburgh and a national TV audience for college hockeys national championship. Quinnipiac and Yale different in so many ways had one thing in common other than geography: both proved doubters wrong topping traditional heavyweights on their way to the title game. The games result was perhaps as surprising as the season itself: Yale a heavy underdog and one of the last teams to get into the NCAA tournament routed top-seeded Quinnipiac 4-0. This book tells the story of how skill hard work and smart planning brought the two teams to that night in Pittsburgh. -- Publisher description
